Gen Padalecki Family Documentary

GEN PADALECKI FAMILY DOCUMENTARY

Client: Gen Padalecki

Goal

Create an intimate, honest documentary that captures the feeling of a family vacation — prioritizing presence, connection, and memory over polish or performance.

Approach

I took a fly-on-the-wall, documentary-first approach, focusing on natural moments as they unfolded. By keeping the process unobtrusive and human, the story could breathe — allowing real emotion, movement, and connection to lead the edit rather than scripted beats.

Deliverable

A short-form documentary film designed as a personal archive — something meaningful to return to, not just something to post.

Outcome

A timeless family film that preserves memory, atmosphere, and emotion — capturing what the experience felt like, not just what it looked like.
